LDO Millenium Machines Milo V1.5 is an exciting open source DIY project based on OpenBuilds MiniMill to assemble a powerful desktop CNC mill for machining aluminium. In addition to aluminium, the reliable device can also process softer materials such as composites, wood and plastics. The kit contains high-quality components and comes with useful tools. With the appropriate and comprehensive assembly instructions, you are spared complicated assembly.
Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Mod
The FMJ mod adds two CNC-machined aluminium plates for better main column rigidity.
FIXTATED Mod
The Milo kit is equipped with the Continental Breakfast mounting plate from the FIXTATED mod. The plate covers the entire work surface of the milling machine and fits on the bed of a standard size Milo V1.5 (500x160 mm). The mounting plate has a hole spacing of 20 mm in the middle, which is intended for the M5 thread.
Long John Toolsetter Mod
For easy height adjustment of the tool, the kit is equipped with a modified version of the Long John Toolsetter mod. The simple tool height adjuster is based on the HartK Sexbolt nozzle button for Voron machines.
Easy assembly with included tools
An included brass heatset installation tip makes it easy to attach heatset inserts with a soldering iron.
A set of small tools for attaching individual components is also included. Also included are wrenches for the spindles.
Ready-to-install, pre-cut and pre-wired cables
The kit comes with all cables pre-cut to the correct length, pre-crimped and soldered to the appropriate parts! To use them correctly, you need to open the Wiring Guide (you can find the instructions below) and use these instructions to insert the individual cables step by step.
