Sparta has a great lineup of ASAs with small-particle glitter that gives a nice metallic effect. Much better than the "starry night" look that most other brands of "sparkle" ASA have. Highly recommend. Prints great and has good mechanical properties even with high glitter load.
The only things that prevent me from giving 5 stars are:
- Inventory seems patchy. Frequently sold out.
- Web site needs a ton of work. Missing images all over the place and buttons not synchronized with pictures. A nice-to-have would be way more pictures of actual parts, including after acetone smoothing.
- Would love to see even more colors and especially way shinier gold and silver options. (Yes, I realize ASA is incredibly pale, but I believe Sparta can do it!)
I completely understand the frustrations about inventory and the website, and I appreciate you pointing them out—we’re actively working on improvements in both areas. That said, I do hope product ratings primarily reflect the material itself, since those factors don’t impact print quality or performance.
Prints really well, and looks good. This is the accent color for my Voron Trident
After a few year of printing and trying a few different brands of ASA I keep coming back to Sparta’s ASA (with and without sparkles). This is a superb filament that has always produced consistently reliable parts with great surface finishes.

Obsidian black Glitter ASA prints pretty well and is easy going. Ordered from the UK and received 2 days later which is a lot quicker than most UK to UK orders!!
Will be purchasing more in the future!!
